Gamers Assembly LAN confirmed, signups open

The  French TF2 community has always been a thriving scene, but the wider European scene has never been too involved. Until 2016. Despite being fairly small in terms of raw players, they have a hunger for real competition; TF2Connexion has been a league catering to all levels of French teams, and assisted in running a TF2 LAN circuit in France. The French players always have a passion to succeed and we've enjoyed watching many of them reach and compete at the top of the scene.
TF2C ran its last season this summer, but the LANs it supported are still alive after 17 editions. Gamers Assembly is the largest of these LANs, a meeting place for all of the French TF2 players to gather together, have fun and test their mettle. The LAN also features conferences, shows, exhibitors & more - this is a large gaming festival in the heart of France. And we've never fully taken advantage of that opportunity until this year! A central European LAN, with a friendly group of organisers and history of supporting TF2. Sounds perfect for a spring European community LAN!
The LAN will run from the 26th-28th of March 2016, at the Parc de Expositions in Poitiers. The currently announced prizepool is 3000 Euros, with the potential to grow with sponsorship. A number of French teams have already signed up, with other Premiership teams such as  Reason Gaming Publiclir.se top5 Rocket and more planning attendance. teamfortresstv is also organising some form of on-site coverage, with details to follow.
The cost for a BYOC ticket is 50 Euros, or 10 Euros for a full Visitor Pass. We are currently looking into PC rentals for teams coming from further afield. There is great potential for another excellent European LAN with high level competition so whether you want to come to play or spectate, take a look at the Gamers Assembly website, plan your journey and book your ticket! We hope to see you there for our first real community LAN in France!
The tournament is hoping for 12-16 teams, with a fair proportion being of a Premiership or top High skill level. The tournament structure along with production details and team list will be announced closer to the time.
